General Dentistry in Toronto

A beautiful, healthy smile starts with making regular visits to the dentist. Our clinic prioritizes preventative care, which means that we value proactive techniques such as oral cancer screening, teeth cleaning, X-rays, and more. These techniques ensure that we can always stay one step ahead of potential health issues such as tooth decay, abscesses, and oral cancer. We recommend visiting your dentist at least once per year.

Oral Exams & New Patient Exams

Our clinic provides complete and thorough oral exams for both new and returning patients. Oral exams help your dentist assess the health of your teeth, diagnose any issues, and create a comprehensive treatment plan. We recommend getting an oral exam at least once a year to maintain oral health and ensure no issues arise.

Dental Hygiene Appointments

Regular dental hygiene appointments are key to maintaining your oral health. During a routine dental cleaning, your dental hygienist will clean plaque and tartar off your teeth. They may also do a fluoride treatment, take dental X-rays, and do a health assessment of your teeth and gums. It’s recommended that you schedule a dental hygiene appointment at least once per year to protect your teeth and gums.

Gum Grafting

When you have gum disease (periodontal disease), your gums will begin to thin and recede, exposing the roots of your teeth. Without the protection of gum tissue, these roots will become extremely sensitive to hot and cold temperatures, prone to bacterial decay, and vulnerable to tooth loss. Gum grafting is a restorative procedure designed to protect your natural teeth from gum disease.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer screening is a crucial part of many oral exams. The earlier oral cancer can be noticed and diagnosed; the more effective treatment will be. During an oral cancer screening, your dentist will examine your gums for discoloured patches or sores. They will then feel the tissues of your mouth for irregularities and check your throat and neck for lumps.

Dental X-Rays

Dental X-rays are an important part of preventative oral health. They are typically performed as part of an annual oral exam and are non-invasive, simple procedures designed to detect issues before they worsen. Once the X-ray is complete, the images will be examined for abnormalities such as cavities, decay, bone loss, and abscessed teeth.

Teeth Extractions

There are several reasons why a person might require a tooth extraction. This includes trauma, overcrowding, and advanced tooth decay, among several other possible reasons. For teenagers and young adults, impaction of wisdom teeth is another common reason for tooth extraction. Regardless of the reason for your tooth extraction, our staff is dedicated to performing the extraction as quickly and comfortably as possible.
